How bareLUXE™ Gives Back
We donate a significant portion of our sales to environmental causes such as ocean-bound plastic waste cleanup. We have partnered with VERDN so our customers can be involved in the experience and see the impact of their specific purchase.
The Verdn app provides a truly transparent way to monitor and watch the impact that occurs when money is donated to highly selected organizations.
Every bareLUXE product is linked to a specific environmental pledge to plant trees, clean up ocean plastic waste, or rebuild coral reefs.
We make this donation on your behalf when you buy our products.
After your purchase, you'll receive a link to your own personal dashboard to follow the pledge through its stages and you'll be able to watch the measurable impact tied to the purchase you made.
The organizations chosen by VERDN all provide clear, transparent, and measurable outcomes. They work with and support local communities and hire local workers at appropriate wages. Three of these organizations are Empower AS and Eden Reforestation Projects and Coralive.
bareLUXE and 1% for the Planet
1% for the Planet is a global organization that exists to ensure our planet and future generations thrive. They inspire businesses and individuals to support environmental nonprofits through membership and everyday actions. They make environmental giving easy and effective through partnership advising, impact storytelling and third-party certification.
1% for the Planet works to prevent greenwashing, certify reputable giving and provide accountability for environmental giving. At the end of each year, bareLUXE Skincare goes through the process of certification to prove that a minimum of 1% of our sales - not profits - has been given to valid environmental organizations. If for some reason we fall short, we fix it!
1% for the Planet forges powerful partnerships between businesses, individuals and environmental nonprofits to ensure the most impact possible.
How Can You Help?
Don't buy anything from us
Yup, we said it. The best way to reduce consumerism is to stop buying things. Skinimalism means minimalism
However, we are also realists and want our consumers to have options to make conscious and impactful decisions.
If you're planning to shop, then of course we want your business. We especially encourage you to read more about our refill program and why we've chosen to use plastic, even though we totally hate it.
